VENUE AND EVENT INFO
Due to unforseen logistical issues, the show scheduled for June 7 has been postponed to September 29. All tickets will be honored on the new date.
Influential bachata artist Anthony Santos will bring “La Historia de Mi Vida” tour, produced by Felix Cabrera Presents, at NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Friday, June 7 at 8 p.m.
Anthony Santos is best known for mixing his soulful ballads and romantic slant with up-tempo dance hall beats. His music was mostly known as being “fresh” when it first started. Santos is considered to be the most influential Bachatero artist in the history of the Dominican-born genre and has had a huge success since his career began in the 1980s. Considered to be the King of Bachata by many, he is best known by his moniker El Mayimbe (The Boss) de La Bachata.
Bachata is the musical genre originating from rural neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic. The music and dance have come a long way to where it now sits in the modernized era of an ever-changing world. Singers like Anthony Santos transformed this rural rhythm into one of the most respectable and romantic genres. Over time, bachata has evolved into the smooth melodious rhythm it is now through the influences of Salsa, Zouk, Tango, Cha-Cha and even a bit of R&B, Jazz & Hip Hop.
The Grammy-Award nominee and top selling merengue artist of all time, Toño Rosario will co-headline.
Performed in the Full Round. Everyone needs a ticket regardless of age. Interested in VIP Membership and Premium Seating for our events? For information please call 516-247-5211. Members get the best seats!
